At Westmorland Sheepskins, we like you to know everything we know about our products.
These beautiful cashmere gloves are made from Abyssinian sheep which have very little fat in the skin, meaning that the fibres are knitted together more tightly than standard leather gloves available on the high street. This enables the tanners in Italy to get a very soft leather while maintaining its strength.
The leather is full analine dyed, which means that there is no plastic coating on the surface. They are made 'full pique' which is where the machinist flat sews each glove stitches a quirk (gusset) between the fingers to make them more comfortable. Only the most experienced and highly skilled operators would sew these beautiful products.
Cashmere is the under wool of the cashmere goat - both soft and warm it is the ultimate luxury fibre along with silk. Quality that your grandmother would expect.
